I honestly didn’t think I would get attached this fast, but I have. And it’s not just the car itself, but the freedom of having a reliable and safe car. The fact that it’s hilarious to drive and safe AND reliable, makes it the complete package for me. But it’s not just what I can make the car do, it’s what it’s done for me. It’s actually helped come out of my shell. It makes me want to go out. It makes me want to explore. It honestly has given me more courage. I’ve met more people in the past 3 weeks, besides being at work, than I have since I’ve lived here. While I’ll always something else, that’s just who I am, I think Kona has found a long term home.

Awesome! This is the happiest thing I’ve read all day.

Enjoy the heck out of your car, that’s what it’s all about.

I’ve put nearly 2600 miles on it in 3 weeks, so I have been so far!

You might as well drive it a ton now while it's still in warranty! Awesome car, it's always great to have a special bond like that.

I’d like the warranty to last at least most of the time that I’m paying it off though :)

Think of it like this, you can start modding it as soon as the warranty is out haha.

I think this will stay mostly stock. I kind of want to pick up an E30 or E21 within the next couple of years to make into a track toy.

The problem is, is that all the awesome roads are 2 to 3 hours away.

I know this feeling all too well. When I switched from my used VW to the Golf it was a revelation. I could forget about my car leaving me stranded on the side of the road, I could drive anywhere and explore without fear. It’s a damn great feeling

Yeah, there’s a couple ok canyon roads within an hour from me, but to get to the good stuff in the high Rockies is 2-4.

I averaged 21,000 miles a year over my first two years......warranties are meant to expire anyways, right?

Nearly 3k in a month...

You’ll slow down in winter. But yeah, my road trip alone was 4k in one week. I did about 15k in the summer and then slowed down to just 500-1000 a month in winters.

Once I get my window fixed, I’ll probably drive my 4Runner a bit more as well.
